One of the best things about being a baker & teacher is getting to know so many amazing people. So let me introduce myself & why I started Bake With Me.

HI, I'M HEATHER

Owner & founder of Bake With Me & Baking Club Online. I live in Sunny Tauranga, New Zealand with my husband and 2 children. I am so passionate about baking and teaching- I have many hats but below you'll find my 3 main loves and more about me!

I can't wait to get to know you and your family through workshops & Baking Club Online.

I LOVE BEING A TEACHER:

I've got over 15 years experience teaching- mostly as a fully qualified & registered primary school teacher. I bring my excellent teaching skills and my baking knowledge to bring you high quality workshops, designed for the whole family. I run online workshops as well as in person baking and cake decorating classes for children and adults in Tauranga, NZ.

Teaching is my absolute passion. I get such a thrill out of being able to encourage & work with young people to see them succeed in both the kitchen & in life.

I highly value relationships in teaching, I see myself as a coach to help guide you in your baking journey. Everyone can learn to bake- no matter your age!

I LOVE BEING A MUM:

I've got 2 beautiful children who are 3 and 5 so as you can imagine, life is busy! As a mum, I get what baking with kids can be like! I've created Bake With Me & Baking Club to allow time and space to create special memories with your children by baking together in a fun & relaxed way.

Through Baking Club, I take some of the stress out of baking with children by providing a fun environment with easy to follow recipes. Our bake-along videos are perfect for older children to gain independence & younger children to begin their baking journey.

I LOVE BEING A BAKER:

I have always loved baking & had a knack for it. I remember as a child making chocolate cakes with my Dad. There's something so special & magical in being able to make something great that you can eat!!

7 years ago I started a business called "Macarons & More" selling all sorts of home baking. I baked for markets & weddings & birthdays, you name it! It was here that I truly discovered my passion in baking & creating & I love being able to share this with people.

I LOVE writing & developing recipes that are child-friendly & easy to follow. I believe baking is such an important skill for people of all ages to learn, but especially children!
